Following Claire is my first travel narrative of the journey around the filming locations in Scotland for ‘Outlander’. It took place in 2015, started in Crieff and ended in Edinburgh. I trailed around the highlands as far as Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides, and recorded by photo and journal my solo journey by car.
From Auckland to Orkney is my 2017 journey back to Scotland. This time I went further out and for longer, attending the final UK fans Outlander gathering, and then heading out to Orkney and west to Harris and Lewis. This book is much longer than the first, and features my solo journey by car and ferry in the more remote places of Scotland. It is full of full colour photos, which (unfortunately) add so much to the cost of the book.
