During the heart of the Thames gold rush, Benedict Attwater dies while clearing his property, and it falls to his daughter, Eliza, to carry on his legacy or take her mother and brother back to Australia. At this moment of decision, Angus McTavish, fresh from Scotland, is a surprise arrival at the door, bringing with him the possibility that all has not been lost. He also brings trouble when he unwittingly steps into the path of the man who wants Eliza and her family’s land for himself.
